Jasmine
Jasmine
is a genus of about 200 species of shrubs and vines in the Oleaceae (olive)
family, native to tropical and warm temperate regions of Eurasia, Australasia,
and Oceania. They are widely cultivated for the strong fragrance of their
flowers.
Jasmines
may be deciduous or evergreen and grow as erect, spreading, or climbing plants.
Their flowers are usually white or yellow, about 2.5 cm wide, highly fragrant,
and grow in clusters or singly. The plant produces berries that turn black when
ripe.
