Ireland | 1969| 5 Pence (Pingine) | Irish Bull

Irish Bull

A bull motif created by artist Percy Metcalfe appears on the reverse of several Irish coins, most notably the shilling minted from 1928 to 1968 and the five pence coin issued from 1971 to 2000. Both denominations feature the Irish harp on the obverse, and the five pence continued the original shilling’s bull design until its withdrawal.
