Kuwait

The Emblem of Kuwait, adopted in 1962, features a golden falcon with outspread wings bearing a shield in the colors of the national flag. The falcon supports a disk depicting a traditional dhow, symbolizing Kuwait’s maritime heritage, with the state’s name inscribed in Arabic above. The falcon represents the Banu Quraish lineage, associated with the Prophet Muhammad, and is a common symbol in Arabian heraldry. This emblem replaced an earlier design that showed a falcon and crossed flags.
