Prunus Caroliniana - Laurel Mobilis

Prunus caroliniana (Carolina Cherry Laurel) is an evergreen tree native to the southeastern United States, from North Carolina to Florida and west to Texas. It grows 8–13 m tall with glossy, dark green leaves that are usually smooth-edged at maturity. It produces white flowers in racemes in late winter to early spring, followed by small black fruits that persist into winter and are eaten by birds. It was formerly classified as Laurocerasus caroliniana and should not be confused with Prunus laurocerasus (English Laurel).
