Olive
Olea europaea (olive) is a small tree in the Oleaceae native to Africa, the Mediterranean, the Arabian Peninsula, and southern Asia, and naturalized or cultivated in regions including Europe, the Middle East, and parts of the Americas. Its fruit, the olive, is a major source of olive oil and gives its name to the Oleaceae family, which also includes lilacs, jasmine, Forsythia, and ash trees (Fraxinus).
