Monstera deliciosa is a tropical flowering plant native to southern Mexico and Panama. It is known for its large, distinctive leaves with natural holes and for its edible fruit. Commonly called the Swiss cheese plant or fruit salad plant, it has been introduced to many tropical regions and has become mildly invasive in places such as Hawaii and the Seychelles.
