Olive & Oak
Quercus refers to trees or shrubs of the beech family Fagaceae, with about 600 species found mainly in the Northern Hemisphere. Oaks produce both male and female flowers and bear fruits called acorns.
The olive tree, Olea europaea, belongs to the family Oleaceae and is widely grown in the Mediterranean region. Its fruit, the olive, is economically important as the main source of olive oil.
