Seymour Tower
Seymour Tower is a square-shaped coastal defense tower built in 1782 on the tidal island of L'Avarison, 2 km east of Jersey. It was constructed after the Battle of Jersey (January 6, 1781) and is the only square tower among the 23 built from Conway's planned 30 coastal towers. Its artillery platform held different guns over time. Jersey Heritage operates it as a basic holiday rental, accessible on foot only at low tide.
