 Angklung

The angklung is a traditional musical instrument of the Sundanese people of Indonesia, made from bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. The tubes are carved and tuned to produce resonant notes, often in octaves. The instrument is played by holding the frame with one hand and shaking it with the other. In an angklung ensemble, each performer usually plays a single pitch at the appropriate time to create complete melodies.
