Employees Provident fund





The Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) was established in Sri Lanka in 1958 to provide financial security for employees after retirement. To mark its 50th Anniversary, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka issued a Rs. 2 commemorative coin in 2008. The obverse depicts protective hands and three workers, while the reverse shows the denomination and year of issue.

  King George VI The Malayan dollar was issued by the Board of Commissioners of Currency, Malaya, except during the Japanese occupation from 1942 to 1945. In 1952 the issuing authority was renamed the Board of Commissioners of Currency, Malaya and British Borneo, and its notes carried the portrait of King George VI. George VI (1895–1952) reigned from 1936 until his death. Initially the second son of George V and not expected to become king, he ascended the throne after the abdication of his elder brother, Edward VIII, who chose to marry Wallis Simpson. George VI had served in the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force during World War I and married Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon in 1923, with whom he had two daughters, Elizabeth and Margaret. His reign saw profound constitutional and geopolitical change. Singapore | 1990 | 1 Dollar | Coat of arms

Singapore The National Coat of Arms of Singapore was adopted in 1959, when Singapore became self-governing, and was designed by a committee led by Toh Chin Chye. It features a red shield with a white crescent symbolizing a young nation and five white stars representing national ideals, supported by a lion and a tiger. Below is a blue ribbon bearing the motto Majulah Singapura (“Onward Singapore”). Although its official use is restricted to the government, the emblem appears on currency, state decorations, and the national passport.
